I am the middle of three sons. Eric, the eldest, is married and has three children. Randy is the youngest and he's single. Both live near my parents in Ohio, and both are employed in factories near home. We all enjoyed a lot of outdoors times, doing gardening and some farming, and we also owned a small general store. I was the first in my family to attend college. Much of my childhood took place in a village of about eighty people! But my parents also enjoyed taking us on vacation and providing us books and exposure to the world.

My husband is an amazing man! He keeps me grounded when life seems to be out of control. His calmness and different perspective on life makes me refocus my priorities to what is really important. He has a wonderful gift with my cousins' children - they just adore him. When we visit, if Ray's parking the car, they will always give me a big hug and then ask, "Where is Uncle Ray?"
